I posted a similar question in the apearance section. Forgive the double post please, I hit the wrong forum by mistake.

Hello all. My car is an 03 GT 4 door. It's mostly stock expect it has a grill kit. I want it lowered a bit, but just enough to help it stand out a bit from the crowd. I have three things in mind.

1. Lowering clamps on the front only. That would drop it about half an inch. It would give it a strong forward slant to look sporty but would alter the ride quality. I think alignment would be unaffected. Definatly the cheapest.

2. Eibach lowers the front 1.3 and the rear 1.2. Why does the front lower more? Is that to overcome a stock .1 inch front drop? Would the car be level now? I don't think I'd be happy with that, I like the front to be lower.

3. HR drops the front 1.6 and the rear 1.4. This is more of a drop so I assume that the alignment would suffer. Is the camber adjustable enough to compensate or will I have to have custom work done. Eibach offers a camber kit but HR doesn't seem to have one. I could get eibach's kit though if it would help.

Lastly I don't have a pic to share, but does anyone have pcs of GA's of this style lowered with the HR or similar products?

I would go with springs since they are the proper way to do it. You shouldn't need a camber kit since the drop isn't a significant as some. Usually anything 2" and over it is recommended.

Eibach and HR both will give you the agressive slant you are looking for, unfortunately they will run you well over $100 for the springs. By doing springs you will also have to upgrade your stock struts since they will take a beating with the new springs. You may be able to use them for a little while but eventually you will have to upgrade to new aftermarket struts.

The eibachs look good. The car has a natural stance to it that looks mean.

My car has been lowered on H&R for 50,000 miles on stock struts and the ride is still okay. Don't get eibachs just because it has a camber kit. Most of the time you don't even need that bullshiit. I had eibachs on my other GA for around 20,000 miles and also no problems at all.
