Alright, I have an 04 ecotec se...I am converting my se to a gt body. Right now I only have the front bumper, but by monday I should have the panels, rockers and rear bumper, at that point they will be painted.

Now this is what I need help on. In order for my exhaust to look anything like a gt I feel it should have the dual exhaust (both sides) unlike the se has right now.

So, If anyone can help me, I need a way to upgrade my current exhaust to dual, preferrably a cheap way, but if the car can sound better out of all of this, that would be even better.

Links, tips, pictures are all appreciated. I do not want a whole new exhaust system. I just want dual exhaust that will work with an ecotec.

Thanks!

Well your cheapest bet to converting your Se to a Gt exhaust is to find a wrecked GT (1999-2004) with the Eco-tech i pressume it is a 2.2L or 2.4L and just guttin the exhaust usually nobody takes that part form wrecked GA I have a 97 GT 2.4L LD9 which is like a one of a kind motor and i have factory Duals they sound good I think. BUt another option is to install a Cat- Back system Borla makes one that kinda expensive i think around $650 (US) but you can go cheaper if all you want is sound. Of course a cat back wont do any good w/o a high flow cat and a header. But it looks like your only worried about the apperance and not the performance. So yeah hopefully that helped

The cheapest solution would be to bolt exhasut tips to about three inches of pipe and bolt it under the rear. It needn't be hooked up, but that's bordering on ricerific.

The GT has one muffler mounted sideways under the rear. Perhaps you could find a decent flowmaster that will hook up to your exhaust with little mod. Maybe some extra pipe to connect it to a muffler mounted further back, but not much.

99+ Gt only has the 3400 :) But it's exhaust system will work. Or find an after market muffler with a offset in and duel offset outs.

Where are you getting your gt body parts from and how much did they cost? I am interested in how much it would cost to do a gt conversion as compared to installing aed front and rear bumpers... then possible rockers as well.

I plan on doing this as I will need to get a new bumper as my front one is cracked right now anyways.

... just install the GT muffler on your car ... it uses the same muffler hangers and the SE piping has the same OD as the ID of the GT piping so it will slide right inside ... all you have to do then is MIG weld the radius :)
