Well some of you know what happened to me lately. We bought my fiance a PT cruiser and we didnt know it but when we went to buy it it had the hahn racecraft stage II turbo kit on it. SO, I was like wow I need something turbo. I sold my white ga to a friend and I was looking for something turbo and came across a grand am that I couldn't pass up.

Here are the pics

Mods list:
-Garrett t3/t4 turbo
-Spearco intercooler
-TurboXS boost controller
-TurboXS blow off valve (sequential)
-Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator
-RC Engineering 320cc fuel injectors
-Greddy e-manage fuel management
-Blitz FATTx turbo timer
-RSM ported intake manifold
-RSM 62mm throttle body
-2.5" downpipe
-3" magnaflow cat
-3" catback piping to a dynomax muffler (soon to be TWO mufflers)
-SPEC stage III clutch
-Power slot rotors
-Spring tech springs / kyb shocks and struts
-RS Limited MASE 18's with 225/40 ecsta 711's
-Autometer EGT, Oil pressure, Fuel pressure, and Boost gages
-Hella 6000k HIDS (real!)
-Custom fit neoprene seat covers
-Avital alarm

I might be forgetting something in there. I'm getting different rims (my old 17's) and I'm ordering black and white katzkin for it. I already ordered mufflerS. This thing is hella loud and I'd leave it single exhaust if it didnt have two cutouts. The only problem with it is the turbo manifold needs to be re-welded.

Tell me what you think :)

Bob, you know how I feel about it. It's just awesome. I hate to see you give up your '98 but this one has so much more for you. You and your girl both having turbo's...must be nice! :P

Its fun... the pt is just hilarious... 9 psi and a super loud blow off valve plus it looks near stock.

My GA needs some work but for the money I can't complain :)

Is that the one that was in the 2.4L engine specific discussion?

Well its pushing 5 psi at the top of 2nd and 3rd and 4th and 5th. No boost in 1st because the exhaust manifold has a nasty leak... its not able to push the turbo so thats gettin fixed this week.

The gage pod is a mustang triple pod he had some shop mold to the a pillar so it looks like it belongs there.

Thanks guys :)

how much psi you plan on getting it up to?

Well 12 is the safest with fuel mods (and I got them). I'm gonna push it at 8 and see what numbers I can get.

are the internals all stock? if they are, i wouldn't boost more than 7-8 psi

When everything is back together I'll be boosting 9psi with the stock internals. Several people on the jbody forum have ran 10-12 psi on stock internals with no problems so I'm not scared.

Aside from that, if something DOES go wrong with the engine, thats more of a reason to build one up. When he originally had the turbo setup installed on this car he was pushing 9psi every day and the car has 70k miles on it and the engine purrs like a kitten. If everything is setup right (with the ignition timing and the fuel) then 9psi will be no problem for me.
