how will a 40 series delta sound on my 2.4?

i have a 2.25" 40 series delta flow muffler sitting around.....its only about a year old so i feel like throwing it on my 2.4 malibu...which needs a new muffler soon anyways. the malibu has slightly smaller diameter pipe....so im gonna install the muffler with an adapter to accept the larger inlet...and then just run the mufflers 2.25" outlet back to the tailpipe...which isnt too far.

so will this sound ricey and raspy? i dont want that..but im hoping it will just give me a cool exhaust tone, without being somewhat loud.
