I am considering buying either air bags or a body kit for my car, and i was wondering what you people think is better. Also do you think it is even worth doing either since my car has 165,000 miles on it? Thanx!

Depends on the conditon of your body as a whole. I would get air bags b/c not a lot people have them as much as they do have body kits. But if your car has a bad front and/or rear bumper then go ahead and get the body kit from fx designs b/c it replaces your whole bumper/s but most ot the others are just add on pieces and a friend from this club once told me that really isn't a REAL body kit then. IMO

My front bumper has some chips in it but my back one is perfect. The only rust on the car is in the front wheel wells where the tires fling dirt up.

for sure i would go with body kit, but only if its AED, i think the other kits for your car just look cheap and "ricey" , aed looks high quality and will make your car look a lot newer and yella nicer, so if AED i would go with body kit, if not, i dont think its even worth doing anything to the car....

There is no way i could afford the AED kit! I was thinking of either getting the Razzi or just the FX front.

well actually you could afford the AED kit....Ive been getting quotes on air ride/air bag suspension 3000 for it.Theres not an actual kit out there for a GA so its all custom(there is a kit but you have to manually lower and rise it yourself) so if you have 3 grand id go with the AED kit cuz then you might just have enough left over to paint some of the kit(possibly both bumpers) then unless you got some new wheels/rims then you could get the air bags since the wheels would be accented, overall if you have enough money for air bags you got enough for the AED kit.
P.S. all the qoutes i got were online buisness,i'll try and give you the names, have to find them on here again, its been awhile.

you kidding me? how can you consider the predator and the razzi more ricey than the aed????

Just to let you know i only have around $600 to spend so the only things i could afford are the Razzi.

I think i will get the Razzi, but can anyone find me the cheapest place to purchase it through? Also i read on the net that APC had a body kit too, is this true?

doubt APC has a kit, hell they said they would have Euro tails out for the GA last year and theyd be out this past January, don't belive a word they say about products coming out.

Well, I will have to say that at 165k, it's not really worth putting a body kit OR air bags... but i do agree with Peyman. I think cars with the AED kit say 'damn i look good' while cars with the other kits like razzi, and even Andy's, and especially FX just say 'hey look at me i have a body kit i want attention wah wah wah'
Well that's my 2 pennies anyhow

Actually I have to disagree about the razzi kit. I will be getting it because I want a stock look but with a little more style to it. And plus its pretty affordable too.

well 94greenga, if that is what you are looking for then I would recommend buying the razzi. If you are getting its shipped to your house then I would recommend getting it from High Rev Motorsports (http://www.highrevmotorsports.com/), but if you are getting it shipped to an autoshop (for painting and installation) then go through razzi.
If you want it shipped to your house razzi charges a $50 shipping charge but if you ship it to a business the shipping is free. So that is why I said if you are getting it to your house go through High Rev Motorsports (http://www.highrevmotorsports.com/) because they charge $471 + $95 shipping. Which comes to $566.

94greenga, I found another body kit for our ga. I actually like it a little better than the razzi(from what I can see anyway) The pic isn't that great and its a little more expensive. Click this link to go to the site for it. -----> This one!!! (http://www.seffects.com/catalog/product.asp?ProductCode=AST16368)

Ummm...don't forget about the money it's gonna cost for paint and installation. Buying the kit isn't the end of your expenses...

:agree: I think thats the point most people miss.
As for the different kits, its PURE opinion, everyone has their opinion about a kit.The first few kits made for any car aren't gonna fit perfectly, thats a known fact about fiberglass kits. The more and more they are made the better they will fit but will require some work. And i don't think every kit but AED says look at me,that goes for any kit,its an appearance mod,its supposed to attracted attention. Each kit is different and id rather have every kit look different then have 10,000 GA's with one single style kit,it would get old.

I say kit the car and get some lowering springs.
I'd bag my truck but don't want to suffer the performance loss so I'll just keep driving it lowered with a body kit and scrapping everywhere I go knowning it corners like it's on rails.

Yeah might as well take his word for it too, he's AEDs #1 crash test dummy.
I could point out ALOT of things with AEDs body kit but I'd rather not get in to it and off topic since he didn't ask what kind of body kit, he asked if he should get a body kit or air bags.

bolt on some crap.
if you only have 600 bucks you'll NEVER get a decent air setup. Hell, for 600 bucks I might be able to get all the air supply stuff set up. If you wanna do 'bags, keep saving. Actually, I'd do hydraulics and accumulators anyday on your car. I'd actually like to mess with a car of your year with hydraulics. Mounting cylinders further forward on the trailing arms can yield some massive lift in the back. Mmmmm
