I was wondering if anyone has put four point seatbelts in thier 99+ GA with stock seats? I want to do this because I am tired of the seatbelt sliding around when I drive.

Do you have a roll cage?
If not how do you plan on properly mounting them?

that is why I am asking.... I hate that my seatbelt slides around when I am driving. Besides, why would the Wesco website list them as passenger car seatbelts and show them installed in an ordinary car if I needed a roll cage?

Because all they care about is your money?
To properly mount any seatbelt that goes over your shoulder you need a anchor about shoulder height. This way when your in a accident it holds your shoulders back. If it's just over the back of the seat and bolted to the floor with no anchor higher up in a accident it will compress your spin and could end up with mild to sever spinal damage.

Okay, fair enough. Then do you have any suggestions? I get tired of the seatbelt sliding around when I'm driving. It's annoying.

Sliding around? You have a 2-door, right? Is your belt going through the guide on the seat? Is it tightened properly? If so, I'm at a loss.

hmmm...if youre not using the back seat then find a way to attatch the anchors to the child seat anchors behind the back seat. itll look funny but who cares. im not sure how youd be able to pull that off, but thats where its cool to be creative. :D

I dunno... and the seatbelt slides up to my neck because of my boobs..... to be honest. Sometimes boobs suck. It drives me nuts. I'll have to look more into it.

Lower the anchor on the side post and the seatbelt won't creep up your neck. Thats what my wife does to keep the belt across her twins. 4 point belts will come right over your breasts and I doubt that will be any more comfy for you or them. :)

You could just buy a seat-belt pad. It just velcro's right around the belt, and cusions your shoulder/neck area.

I just like the feeling of being secure.... I'll probably resort to the pad thing. I've already lowered the anchor as low as it'll go. Thanks guys for the imput.

These are the belts on the website:

They mount to the floor behind the seat.

I'd hate to say it but that isn't the proper way to mount them.
Yes it will keep your head from smacking the glass in a accident but the force of our body on impact would make your belts pull your down in your seat compressing your spin. Pu tthat on top of the cash impact and your back might hurt for years to come.
Try a search for more experenced companies like Simpson and see if they can offer proper mount instructions.

Yes, John is absolutely right. Very dangerous to mount 4 points to the floor. There is some sort of positive lock device that will let you slide your seatbelt to the desired postition & lock it. You can even suck it in & lock it so it'll hold you super tight. Now if I could only remember where I seen those at...

Okay, thanks guys. I'll keep looking for other solutions. I just want the seatbelt to be secure and not moving around when I'm driving.

I know where she is coming from. If you have a small frame, like me, you slide around alot in 1999+ Grand Am seats

if they are not properly mounted too, the body of the car can bend and flex in a crash causing the belts to pull and could crush you in your seat.
