How many times have you all had your motor mounts and tranny mounts replaced? I hear that the mounts on the GA are in crappy posistions and wear out quickly. Our mechanic says they should be replaced every few years. Just had mine done and they could get the tranny one out cause of the position and tight bolt!?

I have about 117k on mine and they are still ok. I will be replacing them soon though.

Where can you purchase upgraded motor and tranny mounts? If im going to replace something, I usually want to uprade it while doing so.

On my 97 GA, I replaced mine at about 90K miles. Both the upper mount and tranny mount were shot, So just for chuckles, I replaced the dogbone as well. At just over 100K I found the upper engine mount was bad again. This is because I just replaced the Hydraulic insert on the upper mount at the 90K mark. So the I again replaced it but, with a whole new mount assembly I bought from the dealer. They were all just fine when I got rid of the car 50K miles later.

my upper mount was shot when I dropped in the new ld9, then 200 miles later I shattered the brand new motor mount... so I have to get another one...
