Hello everyone, long time no see...
I love this place and some of the answers I find. I've read through some of the posts to find some info on different things, but thought I would post all my current issues here so I can get a summary of answers all in one place.
First...I had my car inspected today and they failed it because it needs new brake pads and the "Rack and Pinion" is "leaking". About a 8-900 dollar job :roll2:
Second... That darn power mirror control thingie on the drivers door keeps falling down into the inside of the door, and the window controls stick and need new lights inside...
Three...I need a salvage rear bumper cover that's already painted to the silver color of my car... cuz I don't wanna pay $300 for the cover, then another 300 to have it painted and installed.
Four... I was recently involved in an accident where a woman (a stupid one) whipped her door open into traffic on a narrow one way street. I was the lucky one who got to bend her '05 Volvo's door backwards. It took off my passenger side mirror and made a dent in the fender, and a big ol scratch all the way down the side of the car that ended on the rear passenger door. Wondering if my hard braking/avoidance attempt could have caused the rack and pinion problem. If so, her insurance company will be paying for the repair of that too...
Five... Will the newly painted/repaired side of the car fade to match the rest of the car eventually? Love the new mirror :)
Six... How much do new factory rugs cost? The one on the drivers side has lost all it's little plastic spikes that hold it in place, so it keeps sliding around.
Seven... Is there a way to get the leather cover thing to stop falling on the shifter? Ya know...that cover thingie, it's supposed to stay up near the knob, but it doesn't, it keeps falling.
Eight... Ceramic brake pads or asbestos?
Nine...That damn cruise control switch on the steering wheel doesn't work. It doesn't stay depressed...so I have to hold it in to use the cruise. I can't find any instructions in the haynes manual on how to remove/replace it.
Ten... Someone just please send me all the replacement crap I need, with instructions, and some of those nice chrome rims that those reflector things go on (thinking they are GT rims) And I'll pay ya in full when I get it...PRETTY PLEASE???? Pretty pretty please? with sugar and whipped cream and a cherry on top???? ack...never mind.
Hope someone has some ideas about my issues. I'll check back soon...Thanks :)

the cruise problem, is the little plastic peice behind the buttons, slide it off, and there are the little rubber thingies, and they wear down, so replace it, and it should slove ur problem, we just got ours for our GAGT from the junk yard, u can use a knife or somthing and pry it off, thats what we did, lol
