I went to a friends house and parked the car. 5 minutes later I went to start it up and leave and all the lights came on like normal and went off like normal but when I turned the key to start the engine, nothing happened, and the right side SEC light came on with the Trac Off light. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. It seems to me that something is getting ready to go bad. Also, the radio was reading "Calibrate", I know that means to have the VIN put in the HU but why, it's the original HU and it has never been taken out? And that wouldn't stop the car from starting up. I wonder if my PCM is going out or something. PLEASE HELP BEFORE I SELL THE CAR. Thanx in advance.

battery problem? take the battery to a auto parts store, they should charge it for you, usually for free. if it dies again i think you need a new alternator. and... don't you have a warranty?

If you are talking about the 04 in your profle, have it taken to the dealership if it's under warranty. I wouldn't have thought that a battery would have died that completly. Usually even when they are too weak to start the car they still have enough power to keep the radio in check. They make a little plug in thing so you hook a 9 volt clock radio battery to your cigarette lighter when you work on the car, and that keeps the car from resetting, so it doesn't take much juice. Perhaps your battery is defective.

or your cable is loose.. i can see how an 04's battery would go out apparantly early though - don't dealerships around your area leave the hazards on all their cars blinking every night all night? there's a couple here that do that as a sort of gimmick..
anyway, if it's under warranty, go bleed the warranty.

Definatly a power issue. Check that your battery connections are clean and tight.

I have a buddy that owns his own auto shop that has 1 of those computers that can reprogram the PCM in our cars and he hooked it up for me. When he was done he said that for some reason the car is having power surges, but he couldn't pin point why or where they were comming from. He also said that our PCM's have a chip in them that acts like a surge protector that shuts everything down for 15 minutes after a surge to protect the PCM. We tested the battery and it was putting out what it was supposed to, so it isn't the battery unfortunately. I am going to have to take it to the dealer after I take my Jet Module out to get it fixed. On my way home yesterday, I was driving down the highway and went to wind my window down and the car just shut down at 75mph and wouldn't start agin. So I pulled over and waited 15 minutes to try and start it agin and it started fine. So what my buddy was saying about power surges, I believe because the car stalled and shut down as soon as I tried to use a little power. I'm lost on what could be creating this problem, and I do appreciate the replies. Thanx agin.

Alternators can, and occasionaly do, surge. All alternaotrs have diodes to direct the positive/negative direction of current flow, and ours have internal voltage regulators to balance the flow.
They have a fusible link (not a fuse) to prevent GROSS overcharging, but the link can still let thru a surge or spike of power.
I don't know how exactly the PCM's internal 'surge protection' works.
However, it may become accustomed to low voltage (from loose/corroded battery connections), and detect a 'surge' when full contact is made.
I dunno.
I do know that batteries themselves can't 'surge'. Period.
This seems to be a hit-or-miss problem, so a dealer might need it for a week before the technician observes the same conditions.
As S_P said, check your battery cable connections.
On a GA, they are the singlemost cause of electrical issues.
Good luck.
