Okay i just replaced my Rotors and Break pads, i got ceramic pads BTW.

Lately i have to pump my brakes in order for them to work properly.

Example:

I turn the car on, start driving, here comes a stop sign, when i hit the brakes to slow down, the pedal get, not stuck, but a bit hard to push, and it slows down just a tiny bit.... then i put the car in park, and punp the brakes a few times, and then they work properly....

This is a huge issues with me because i drive with my children on board 95% of the time....

My friend told me i might have air in my brakes, how can i check if i have air... ANY advice...

BTW, i did a search and couldn't find this brake issue on here... so if this was posted before i apologise...

i have a 99 GA SE....

Sounds like air in the lines. A simple bleed should do the trick.

Just a side question.
When you replaced the pads...did you remove your master cylinder cap/cover, in order to compress the cylinders?

I had a "professional" do it....

took it to Strauss Auto.... they did it in 20 minutes, so u think i have to bleed my brakes? can i do it myself, or does a "pro" need to look at it?

BTW, i'm a Auto Retard, i drive very very very, extremely well, but don;t know SH!T about cars... lol

Tons of people have blead their own brakes. I know very little about cars, and even I can do it. If you are not confident, ask around. I am willing to bet that somebody you know can help ya. It's a very simple process. And...who wants to pay an hours labour at a shop.

Take it back here you got the breaks done. If it did NOT act like that when you took it in be sure to mention that. They probably should have road tested it and felt the prob before they delivered it to you. Even if they charge you (which I don't think they should) it's better to be safe.
