I just got my 93 Grand Am and it seems to stall at some stop lights and signs i have read around some other people have had this any body have any idea what im talking about ? What should i do about it?

dude, u cant just say that, u gotta say what engine, miles mabye, if there are other symptoms, is it stalling, or is it hesitating, could be IAC, wich most likley it

sorry man im new at this is it the Quad 4 4 door 93 with 53000 miles ( was an elder lady's car) and it just stops completely where i have to put it in park and re start it

ic, i know about the old lady thing, my 90' Turbo Grand prix has 70k and was drivin by an old lady, she was half blind cause of all the little things she hit, lol, and i know that cause her son said, she had it in a barn for 2-3 years cause her eyes got too bad, lol good luck on ur car, i would say, clean some of the sensors, crap like that, but im no pro, so i hope some1 who is more knowlegeable comes and helps

It's hard to diagnose a stall over the net. There are several things that cause it. For one thing a 93 has an earlier overdrive system that can "lock". That could cause the car to stall at lights. You could also be losing fuel. It's something that you have to feel for. If it's losing fuel it will sound funny because it will run lean right before the stall, if it's the tranny then the engine will strain before it.
