Motor Swap

Can you pls. help ? I want to swap a 2.5 out with a 3100-3400 in my 1990 LE Grand Am 5-speed . Will it bolt to my present tranny ,and will I need the box that is under the seat of the 1995 Olds Cutlass on the pass. side for the computer to work ? I've also been told that there is one under the dash on the pass. side . Are these essential to obtain when I purchase the new motor ?
