I was wondering if anyone has put in a blow off valve for their 3400 engines? They are the little piece that makes the sound that turbo's make when they are shifting in between gears. Its that little "swish" sound. If anyone has or knows anything about it, anyone know the price range?

 you mean a fake BOV, I doubt it, why would you want it? Just get a CAI or WAI and have a similar sound and it actually performs

Here, try this - have a turbo system installed on your engine, then buy one from HKS - HKS valves rock......

Yeah. I hate to be just another person giving you grief but you might want to find out the purpose of a blow off valve first.
A Blow Off Valve or Compressor Bypass Valve will purge unused boost between shifts and helps to keep the turbo spinning when the driver lets off the throttle.
On many turbo applications without a BOV the throttle plate would close, creating a wall to the pressurized air rushing back the inlet tube towards the turbo. The backed up air would pile up, and eventually travel back to the turbo. This would basically cause the turbo to come to a stop and even could cause damage to the turbo shaft, impeller or bearings.
There is not a single reason a 'BOV' should be installed on a car without a turbo or supercharger. On a NA motor you couldn't even creat enough pressure for it to open and make that "swish" sound everyone thinks is so cool. Not only would you be wasting your money but you'll be laughed at by others.

It will make noise, they make these ones that are built for NA cars to make it sound like they do have a turbo and "intimidate" people

Because if you tell a someone that knows better that you have a BOV on a NA motor they will laugh. Might not be right to his face, but they will laugh.
And as for the fake BOV, I'm not sure which will get laughed at more. A BOV on a NA motor or a fake BOV on anything.
Sorry truth hurts, I know. :)

Let's try this - it'll be cool until you get your doors blown off by a car with an ACTUAL turbo.
And believe it or not, but most people (you know, real car guys)who see something like that when you're just "hangin' round" the local hotspot WILL LAUGH.
But, if you want one, knock yourself out - don't forget to pick up a couple of "Type R" and "VTEC" decals and badges, and some of those real keen Japanese symbol windshield/rear window headers while you're at it.......

yeah, just hook up a fire extinguisher under the hood and rout the hose out the grill, give it a shot once in a while to make people think you have nos, you could paint the bottle too and put nos stickers on the car. If this sounds ridiculous to you, it is, as ridiculous as putting a bov on a na motor. Your bov actuator would have to be set at like 1/4 boost, Im deffinatly not trying to be rude here, I just dont think you fully understand the idea of a bov and what it is for. Dont waste the money, use the money twords something that will actually make your car faster. LIke a exhaust bypass kit, one that has an electric actuator that is on a y pipe, when you flip the switch, all the exhaust flows out one side of the y pipe and not through the restrictive exhauset, at the end of the race, flip the switch and your back to running through the exhaust. This is a much better idea than a bov.
