Well here is what happened, my 1995 grand am v6 has told me she has had enough of my abuse"CRACKED HEAD". Well now i pulled the motor out and sent the block out to be magnifluxed and had it bored out 30 over, and had speed pro forged pistions installed, ordered a set of stage 3 heads, stage 3 lower intake, over sized cam, 68mm throttle body, all new push rods, rockers. Well now here is my delima, the chiltons firing order was wrong and i figured that out the hard way so i was wondering seeing though i followed that firing order to tighten the rocker arms to 18ft lbs and now when i start her up she knocks and the sound is comming from the rear valve cover area. Not to metion the motor rocks back and fourth like a wilder beast in heat, minus the knocking sound she sounds like one heck of a power house now. Any ideas would be helpfull, Thanks to ALL GA FANS

I just checked my Hanes manual and it says to tighten the rocker arm nuts/bolts to 18 ft-lbs so I'm sure it's correct :S. As for the firing order...what did your book say?
Cylinder numbers
Front bank (rad side) 2-4-6
Rear bank 1-3-5
Firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6
I'm not sure what could be the problem...if you can't find anything here, definitely check out http://www.60degreev6.com you should be able to find out some stuff there.

well the chilton had the front back as 1-3-5 and the rear bank as 2-4-6 and i didnt relize that because i put accel super coils and taylor wires so they didnt have that nice cheat were the wires were marked from the factory. But thank you very much for the heads up on the web site I will check it out now.

Yeah...even something like that can't be made to be simple...Hopefully it turns out to be something small and easy to fix. :)
