It should be

You have a air filter, the hose from it hooks to the throttle body, the Map should be between the hose from the filter and the throttle body.

Throttle body:
Big shinny metal piece, on top of the motor, When you push on the gas peddle a thing on the motor moves. You will see a cable hooked to it, and a piece of metal the moves back and forth as the cable/gas peddle is moved. If you can find that, it is hooked to the throttle body. There is also a hose that is about 4 Inches around that hooks to the throttle body right there at the cable/gas peddle thing.

Air comes in through the air filter, enters the 4 inch hose goes up the hose past the MAP and then enters the throttle body, the air then inters the intake, from there it goes into the cylinders of the motor.

Is that more helpfull??

Really at this point, you sound like you want to learn, go to the public library and get a book for your motor. Better yet buy one if you have the cash.

To make your life much eaiser, learn these few things.
starter, altenator, water pump, heater core, throttle body, Air filter, Oil filter, Oil filler hole, thermostate.

Learn why they are there and what they do, it will help you along.

starter-heard of it. never seen it on my car
alternator-im not brain dead
water pump-heard of it. never seen one period
heater core-heard not seen
throttle body-heard of the sensor.
Air filter-did that. changed that
oil filter-did that changed that
i know the easy stuff. i really don't know anything and i don't have any money and i wanna learn off of yall for free for now. i am gonna to take automotive technology at the vocational school next year. i probably will stop asking yall questions and start bothering my teacher.

ASKING questions is why this site is here. If we didn't want to answer then....we would not reply.

It least I would not.

And yes, not knowing how much others know, some times we have to ask brain dead questions. Like do you know what a spark plug is. Seems to be part of the game when you play here.

Again a local library is a great source for FREE info. I bet they have 3 to 20 books on your car. Depending on how big the town you live in is.

No, Autozone usually doesn't charge to read your codes.

Here is a pic of the upper manifold with the map sensor circled in red.
