hey guys i know alot of people have done the secret cam swap but im worried about loosing torque, will it still pull of the line strong or will i lose that i need more power but i have an auto so i have to go all motor, boost is impossible and supercharging id have to fish out the 5000 bucks for the rsm kit not to mention take my car to canada. can any one tell me about their experience with the swap? it would be appreciated.

I don't think there's a whole lot of people here that have done the "secret" cam swap. And I don't recall ever seeing a before and after dyno, but from what I've heard, it's a decent mod. Keep in mind they aren't a direct swap, there will be some machining required.
Boost is not impossible on your car. You can put a turbo on it, you could run the RSM blower (which is less than 5k and you don't have to go to Canada) You could also buy the M45 eaton supercharger for your car. (go to gmpartsdirect.com enter part number 12498660)

the last time i checked they wont sell the rsm kit to u u have to go there so they can install it and tune the computer the eaton offered by gem isnt offered for an auto matic tranny and i havent really considered the turbo because lets face it a 4 speed auto doesnt really agree with the high wine of a tubo.

I just got the answer from Spy this morning. He says that the reflash can be for an auto or 5 speed. I was worried that I could not flash for the 5 speed, that's what the stealership said. Anyway the GM SC still is not cheap but could be done for 2 to 2.5 grand (I hope). I'm also pretty sure the easiest way would be to bolt on the GM SC but the turbo's will give you more boost. But maybe not on a stock bottom and that's why I want to go super.

RSM will deliver a kit. You don't have to go there. Call Craig and ask him. I will have one this weekend. used, and a lot cheper.
the reflash will work with the manual. here are the part numbers for the reflash:
N manual transmission 88961331
N auto transmission 88961332
You will pay less if you order from gmpartsdirect than from pace. pace rapes you on shipping. I was REAL close to getting the eaton blower, but now for a lot less money i will have an intercooled vortech unit. Good luck intercooling the eaton blower.
but if you're not doing the install yourself, get ready to pay an arm and a leg for the install. i've been told like $900 from a dealer.

For the the 2.4 only. If i remember correctly, you swap the cams from a 95 quad 4 into a twincam.

secret cams: you need a 95 2.3L intake camshaft and a 93-94 Quad 4 exhaust cam.
RSM kit: Yes it can be delivered because PFYC sells the kit, all you need to do is send your PCM to RSM so they can reflash it with the correct program.Plus RSM has a location in the U.S. , I believe it is in Illinois(I'm not possitive).
GM charger: works for both automatics and manuals
turbos: can be done on automatics, many cavaliers and sunfires have be turboed and have automatic transmissions.
I plan on building my 2.4L up with internals and getting the RSM stage 2 for my malibu and it is an automatic. And if you want to you can probably find upgrades for your transmission.

The SCS is a 95 2.3L quad 4 LO intake cam and a 90-94 2.3L quad 4 LO exhuast cam.
The SCS is worth it for the money, you can find them on ebay for around 150-200 sometimes less. But there is www.jbodyperformance.com they sell two sets of cams for the 2.4L but there around 500-600
