My car has been doing this weird shaking thing lately. When I'm coasting (like when I'm heading out of the parking ramp at work) it sometimes starts shaking and knocking real loud, the tack bounces all over (between idle & 0 rpms), I usually shift it into neutral and give it a little gas to try to get it to stay running, it usually works, but then the throttle sticks and it just keeps revving up for a while, up to 2500rpm or so. Any ideas as to what might be wrong/going out on it? I've never had any major problems with it (yet). It's got 137,000 miles on it right now, I change the oil every 4000-4500 miles (mostly hiway driving). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Does the knocking go away?

yeah, it only knocks when it's trying to die. once it kicks out of it it runs okay. I guess it's hard to describe. It's not really a bad, engine's about to blow up kind of knock (I hope ;) ). Just kind of a rapid clunking noise, I guess kind of like if you hit a bunch of bumps in the road (sort of). It's wierd.

mine did that for a little bit...had to change the ignition coil pack out. The car was trying to fire more than one cylinder at the same time...but only at low rpm...because the plastic insulation was cracked.
