Yup. I added the one from pfyc.com (3/4" spacer). I plan on getting the 62mm t.b. later this summer. the spacer by itself made the car a little more peppy (nothing major at all, just seems better responce.

what else do you have done? i was considering doing this along with a new TB.
how had was the install? i assume that it involves removing the TB, was it hard to do?

The throttle body isn't that hard to do you just need new gaskets and the one bolt is a pain to get at IIRC.

The TB spacer should give the car a tad more torque (nothing over 5ft/lbs) since it's incressing plenium volume. Had a spacer and flow booster on my Z28 and noticed a little more grunt with it.

From 60V6 --- > The TB spacer is meant to keep the throttlebody cooler, by seperating it from the manifold using a phenolic material instead of metal. The misconception is that by adding space behind the TB, you are going to get more torque.

The lowered temperature is fine, and is worthwhile , but the cost of a spacer and the remaining intake manifold temperature doesn't do a whole lot on its own. The performance myth with this device is that it allows more air in, or that it lengthens the runners, or anything else along these lines.

The torque curve is dependent on a lot of things, but for the TB related part, its actually not even related. The plenum, while connected to the runners, aren't part of the runner equation. You would have to lengthen the runners themselves to do anything. Actually, even this doesn't seem to work from testing on a 3100 with 1" spacers between the lower and upper intake. You would likely have to change the volume of the runners much more than just extending them will do.

Regardless, this has nothing to do with the plenum. The plenum volume is important to performance and the RPM range of the powerband, but the TB spacer isn't going to have any effect on this because its volume is minimal.

The only real value to a Throttle Body spacer is for a NOS setup. You can drill a hold in the spacer for a NOS injector. It is easier to work with a seperate piece for the nitrous injector, and it is easier to return the car to normal later.

the bottom right bolt was a pain in the butt to get out. we bent the bracket holding a line back, took out the bolt and shoved the spacer and gaskets in. thennnnnn....

the spacer was 1/16" inch to tall which prevented the supplied bracket to relocate the mounting holes for the bracket that supports the throttle line. so we sanded that down (After attempting to get the bracket sanded down)... then i lost 2 bolts in the engine compartment... recovered one 4 hours later.... the second one i went and got a replacement for at 3am.... so if it were the size it needed to be from teh get go, and i didnt loose the bolt(s) it should of taken maybe 30 to 60 minutes depending on that bracket the held me up some... it was easy none the less.

and although people say it wont do anything or anything noticable (not saying they are wrong) the car is acting slightly different if you stomp on the pedal then before. not sure if it is really a power thing or not, but seems to accelerate ever so slightly better (but that is minimal at best)

plans are also to get a 62mm tb, i have a stage 3 cold air intake on the way, should be here in the next couple weeks (i hope)... and sooner or later prob a little later then i want, but a cat back exhaust, maybe headers and upper and lower intakes... possibly. and a dhp is also a strong possibility.

(it's the big black peice in the middle of the picture)

the bracket I had to custom bend to allow everybody to work:

the bolt that bracket holds in place that is not needed (a new bolt is supplied with the kit that IS needed) http://big-b.org/photo/albums/6megapixles/PICT0071.sized.jpg
and this is the best picture I have that shows the black bracket that holds the throttle lines on top of the spacer area. You can kind of see where we tried to modify the relocating plate that comes with the kit to correct the size difference on the spacer and the plate so everybody works correctly.
