Hey everyone, I just finished putting on my SLP exhaust system which for now completes my performance modding. I'm still not sure about the sound of the exhaust. It's a little on the throaty side, so I might add a resonator or change out the muffler.

Last week I installed the FFP UD pulley...All I have to say is that is the best $150 I've ever spent on a car. It pulls harder, shifts smoother, and the MPG increase is pretty impressive (~2+).

Along with the Dr. Speed Stage 3 intake I'm very happy with how this car is performing. The next thing on the list is going to be reprogramming, but gas is a little too expensive to be running premium :(.

I'll be adding pics here probably on monday so just sit tight!

Very cool.

Kinda bugs me that they don't make much of this kinda stuff for the earlier models.

How was that FFP UP pulley to install?

The first time around it sucked because the keyway wasn't cut big enough. I talked to Mike over at FFP and he suggested just filing it out, which I did, and then I had no problem. Just make sure the crank postion ring is put in right. I'll post pics if you want of how the ring is orientated.

im assumin u had to use a shorter belt for the ud pully....if so...what brand did you get?....and where did you order it from?...

I went with a Gatorback v-poly and just picked it up from Murray's Auto Store. I believe the model number ended in 855 instead of 868, which would be 1.3 inches shorter than stock, and fit's perfect.

IF you switch out them uffler... Magnaflow supposedly helps mellow it out and give it a cleaner sound. Performs even better too since its a straight through design.

I got SLP exhaust. I sometimes think it's too loud for me, but I am not sure yet. Don't put resonator, because it's gonna hurt performance. You can switch to something like Borla muffler to make it quiter.

I'll have those pics for you this week sometime, been a lil busy.

I'm actually getting used to the sound and amazingly kinda liking it. I think it's mellowed a little since I've put it on. I can't believe the low end torque I've lost, but the upper end gain makes up for it big time!

Yea,new exhausts will usually sound crappy when new but will get better later on. Mine sounds really good once it has warmed up. Sounds really raspy when I first start the car up and rev it,after warmed up,raspyness is gone almosts. Id keep the muffler if you have any bit of liking to it.
