I am sorry if this has been posted before, however I am too lazy to do a search.

Anyway, I was looking at the sticky about the exhaust and noticed none of the links provided have the 92-95 GA's available.

Is there anywhere I can get a CAT-back system kit for the 95 or do I have to, once again, fabricate it?

There's no complete kit. Fabricate again.

SLP + fabrication will also fit... but would sound awful on a Quad 4.

Mantapart also has a setup that will supposedly fit (and they would sell the mid-pipe only too) but nobody has ever confirmed it will clear the revised 95 rear suspension.

OH DAMN!!! This is officially getting annoying. Fab this, fab that. Does no one make anything for the 95?!?!

In a word, nope. Partially why I love it... nearly everything done will be somewhat unique... and honestly I never thought I'd pull off half of what I did in the last few years. You gotta be a bit clever and patient if you really want to mod an old-gen GA, or GM for that matter.

OP 1178E Sports Cat-Back Exhaust System: Free up lost power by installing this 2 1/4" mandrel-bent aluminized cat back pipe which includes a resonator eliminator and a Dynomax super turbo muffler with dual stainless tips & hardware.
OP 1178E $225.00

I'd make sure they have it in stock first... also ask about the 95's suspension clearance and assembly... I have a feeling there's some welding and minor fabrication (hangers) required.

It's not so unsual to go with a custom-fabbed exhaust for most cars. It really isn't all that more expensive than a pre-fabbed one. The only case when that isn't true is with the more popular imports.

Yup. Thats what you want isn't it? A 'custom' car? Well, these are the first steps my friend.

True, but I just don't have the experience to do this. Plus, my GA is my daily driver, so I can't take it off the road to do anything since I need it to get around.

Exhaust doesn't take long to do. I was in and out of my local shop for a cat-back in an hour. Just make sure you have all the parts you want before you make the appointment and the shop will take care of getting the pipe. You likely won't have a need for anything larger than 2.5" pipe unless you plan on reaching 300+ HP.

Don't go bigger than 2.25" on a Quad 4 unless it's running boost.

I was planning on getting 2.5" pipe.

I would expect you'll lose alot of torque. Depending on muffler type and if you use a resonator or not... it will be very very loud.

I don't want to lose ANY torque!

Any? Better stay stock then. Any exhaust change will produce a slightly different HP/torque curve.

2.25" is the sweetspot on size for N/A 2.3's.

Guess 2.25" is the way to go then.
