I need more pics, so ill add to these as i go, but this is a start for a how-to i guess, not to mention my first one.

Materials:
-a really hot heat gun. Hair driers dont work. if they do, its not efficient.
-soapy water solution. just make sure there is enough soap to make it lubricated when your trying to position it.
-squeegee
-hard card... bondo card is prime here.
-paper towel
-single edge razors... the more the better. sharp edges are like heaven.
-
step 1: anyways, start by cleaning most dust and dirt off the window. squeegee like this one works great. basically, just get it so its a good working area. Now take a measuring device and measure out around how much tint you will need.

Step 2: now figure out which way the adhesive on the tint is facing. an easy way to do this is to take 2 pieces of scotch tape and put them facing each other on a corner, stick them together and then pull. if done properly it will pull the backing on the tint away from the tint. Now spray your solution all over the window and have the adhesive on the tint facing you. Its so that when it goes inthe car, the adhesive will apply to the window.

Step 3: trim the edges to pretty much exact. Now move all the "fingers" towards the factory edges. (i keep my factory edges on the top and bottom).

Step 4: This step goes along with the above, but this is probably one of the most crucial things when tinting to ensure a really smooth, unfrustrating, and professional looking tint job. Its the dreaded "heat shrinking." basically. you want to heat a finger until it distorts, then wipe it down with a rolled up paper towel. do this to all fingers until there are no more. keep in mind fingers only shrink towards a factory cut edge. after youve shrunk and wiped with paper towel, do the same thing, but now with your hard card. chances are, it'll go quick. just apply a little heat and hit it with the hard card to make sure its shrunk. using paper towel drastically decreases your chances of creasing.

step 5: sweet, now its ready to be put in... but wait a minute, leave the tint on the outside of the glass and re-clean the inside of the window. make sure NOTHING is on the glass. if you have to, spray your solution on the window and slide a clean single edge razor on it to pick up any contaminants. roll the window down so there is a gap large enough to get your hand in with a razor and trim the tint. Now spray the crap out of the inside of the window. dont hold back. the more water-solution, the better. now peel off the backing of the tint while spraying it wil lots of solution. but leave part of the backing still on so when you have tint on the inside of the window and your working at the top of the glass, the bottom doesnt get all messed up from brushing against your door panel. you will put the tint in the window, and tint the top half first. squeegeeing from the center out. then once its firmly seated, trimthe top off. trim it down the side of the window a little bit so that it doesnt rub up against the window when you roll it up.

now roll it up and spray a bunch of water at the bottom of the window to "rinse it" of all little fuzzies from the gasket at the bottom of the window. remove the backing still on the tint and spray the tint with a lot of solution. procede to tint. squeeging from the center towards the edges. at the bottom, you'll need to pull back the rubber gasket to get the tint below the line on the window. since your probably not doing other peoples cars and just yours, take OFF your door panels and remove the rubber gromet thing. LIFE WILL BE EASIER! and then when its down, just squeegee all the water, make sure not bubbles are in it. there might be some streak things and that is the adhesive drying and any little excessive moisture drying up. give it a few days and you'll be all set. keep the windows up too for 4-5 days. and wah-lah, youve successfully tinted.
