I have a silver 01 GT. I cleared the tails, they look awesome, but the shiny reverse lights take away from the car. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking about running my exhaust through the light holes. I am afraid of melting the bumper though.

I've seen it, and I dont think it looks that great. I always thought It would be cool, but IMO the pipes are too far apart if you do it that way.

get big enough exhaust tips to fit in the holes, you won't know its exhaust;)

I was thinking about getting a set of those "truck" pipes with the angled cut so that it kind of goes with the lines of the bumper it'll blend right in. Did carr51 have any problems with the heat?

no, he had the tips just a tad bit smaller then the opening so the heat wouldn't affect or melt anything. You can also get some heat wrap to put around the tips to keep the heat away and from melting the bumper

if you do this, what will happen with the indentations in the bumper for the exhaust tips?

they will just be bare I guess,carr51 had an SE so thays prolly why it wouldn't look as weird

I will be getting airbags when I get from Iraq in March 06. Maybe the indentions won't be noticed? We will see.....

you should put big ol flood lights in there. that way you can wire em to a switch and when someone comes up behind you with thier brights on you can blind them right back.

I was thinking about putting angel eyes back there, but that might look too wierd... what if you tinted the reverse lights? or put a vinyl overlay on them?

Some guy on grandamgt.com put pipes thru thoses holes, but I think it would look awkward on a GT, since there are already slots made for it. I converted mine to signals but it wasn't that noticable during the day because those lenses face angled. Plus my red bulbs looked pinkish.

tint 'em...or cover them in vinyl, either would look good
