After a week of rain, my Pursuit was screaming for her weekly bath.
This morning it was nice and I woke up in early = perfect to detail the car!

Began at 8h30AM and finished at.... almost 3h30 PM!
I know, I'm a bit too fussy when it comes to clean my own car.
Stuff needed :
-Dawn soap
-Meguiar's Deep Crystal CleanerWax
-Meguiar's ScratchX
-Meguiar's MirrorGlaze ShowCar glaze
-Meguiar's NXT TechWax
-Meguiar's Final Inspection
-Meguiar's HotShine tire spray (used as a gel with a sponge)
-Mother's Preserve for the mudflaps
And a LOT of microfiber towels!

It was long, but look at this reflection!

Now, like everytime you detail your car, it looks like it will rain! :(

Man that is one SHARP looking little car you have. Wish they had those Pursuits here...........:)

Thanks!

You don't have the Pursuit SE like mine, but the Cobalt LS with the Sport package is the exact same car. The Pursuit was 400$ more than the Cobalt, but I got it because I wanted a Pontiac.

I wish they'd make this car in the States, I really, really enjoy it.

The Wave, on the other hand, is something I wouldn't wish upon my greatest enemy.

Bad GM, BAD GM.

(Sharp car; post some interior pics, I'd love to see what the inside looks like!)

those headlights are just too damn big.

Uh, Rob, have you SEEN the G6's headlights?

They are teh massive, but I like them. The Pursuit reminds me of the Cobalt (I know they are similar), but it's clearly better because Pontiac's typically always look better, except the Torrent *shakes head*.

Mike, here's a bad pic of the inside.

For the records, the Pursuit and the Colbalt are IDENTICAL. The only different things are the front grill between the headlights, and the badges.

Wow, I actually REALLY REALLY like that. It may not be the most "intricate" interior, but I think it looks classy and sharp.

I'm not huge on vents like that, mainly bceause I've been spoiled by Pontiac's typically unique vent designs, but other than that, the car looks wonderful.

Dish soap is often used prior to waxing to remove the old wax buildup. Day-to-day, not a good idea as it strips wax.

yes, i use dish soap ONLY when i want a whole new coating of wax on there.
and i, too, dont like the vents, I like the circular vents, but other than i love the interior, and the exterior isnt that bad either. Pontiac Cobalt, woo

I test drove a Cobalt the other day and was pretty impressed.

But I want a Pontiac, not a Chevy :(. Come to the US :(.

Thanks!

Now, about a month later, I plan of redoing the full detail. But this time, I'll add a few step like the clay bar and the paint cleaner.
It's so nasty right now. Thankfully I'm on vacation this week so I'll have plenty of time to detail my car again :)

Very nice, the wife and I really like it.

We looked into a Cobalt but could not do it as it was too small and didnt have enough power for us. (she's the one that complained the most about the power.)

But I'd pay more for the Pontiac in a 'Heartbeat'. lol

I'd like to go North buy one and bring it home to the US.

Can you do that John?

Would there be any major differences on the car? I'm naive to this.

Thats a sharp car, I like it better than the cobalt. I really don't like the front grill on the cobalt, think the pontiac split grills look better.

And interior is nice too. And as for differences I think the speedo would be different, but other than that I'm not sure.

Thanks for the comments!
I'm just back from a 700 km trip to Montréal, and god! I love my car more than before. It's very confortable and very quiet on the highway, even at 150 km/h. It is also great on gas, considering I did maybe 200 km over 130 km/h, it still did 41 miles per gallon.

And I still like that look on the face of the people, like if they say : "What the hell is that car?"
