So this was a fun weekend, installed my sister's HU in her new car (thankfully same wireing harness from her old one, so very simple install.

And then replaced my amp fromt eh theft a month ago with a Pioneer GM-3100T 2 chennel amp, amped just the two rear speakers, they are 3 way Pioneer, not sure the model numbers, back of the speaker says 180 watts rms, I will have to crawl in the trunk again on the weekend to find out what they are, its definitely not as deep bass as I had with the sub, but its good enough for what I want in the car. Sounds decent, nice tight bass, I am happy with it.

Didn't snap any pics of it just yet - trunk is full of crap at the moment

Also my sister gave me a set of Sony Xlod 6.5 inch speakers (don't hate on the sony, free is free, and sounds better than the stock 4x6's)

Not the cleanest install but it is a temp thing, I plan on pulling these out and creatings some mounting plates out of 1/4 inch mdf sometime soon....

Very happy that they fit under the stock grills still and don't interphere with the windows operation at all.

I have never seen 180 Rms speakers before...i do think that is max

that would really suck to buy a four channel amp to power 4 of those speakers

the brand i use they got some very high end gear but as for thier 6x9's they have a pair that is max 50 rms 170 peak watts.. and for thier 6.5" coaxials. they got a 100 watt rms or 440 watt peak or for a component 6.5 they have a 130 rms or 280 peak watts...

but our local shop ran 400 watts rms through the compent set and couldve ran more through em.. but they dont come cheap...

BTW this company rates thier DMX 15's at 3000 rms or 6000 watts max.. but the local shop used Massive's D400X amp which puts out a solid 8000 watts rms.. into 1 sub... and the that sub help up fine... go to massive audio's picture gallery and all the shots from the store i shop at...
Also that D400x amp uses 280 amps of power to run and from what i remember goes for 6000$
Also just noticed it puts out 8000 watts rms x2.. and your thinking its peak power.. look it up on the net.. it got the award for most powerful automotive amp for sale to the public
