AEM makes a WAI for the Cavalier/Sunfire that has the 2.4L engine in it, it fits in the GA, as well. Or Induction Dynamics (I dont know their website) makes one for the SUnfire/Cavalier as well, it fits just fine in a GA

How well does a WAI work compared to a CAI? And how wlel will it work with headers and exsuast?

WAI just sits in your engine bay. CAI is better but you probably won't notice significant a difference either way. CAI and exhaust are good places to start and the headers will be nice too.

Yea, WAI (warm air intake) takes warm air from inside your engine bay, and a CAI (cold air intake) usually runs down behind and below your battery, inside of the front bumper area, and takes cold air into your engine. Neither has been proven to give any very significant gains, but every little bit is helpful, and you wont notice much of a difference between WAI and CAI, usually.

There is only one company that makes a cold air intake for the grand am. As others have mentioned it is Induction Dynamics which copied the original design from Genertec(a company that no longer exist) go to www.induction-dynamics.com I have had this intake for over 2 years and I am very happy with it. It will work well with exhaust too. And just so you don't go around sounding like an idiot you will not be installing headers, only a header. As far as the chip goes, there is a company called ASE that you ship your ecu to and they modify it and send it back. Other small power boosters would aslo be an alternator pulley and a crank pully.

Yes, 4 cylinder cars have only one header. (well, most do...) -- and AEM is also good for adjustable cam gears, Unorthodox Racing has lightened crank pulleys, alternator pulleys. Also, if you dont need a/c, you can find an a/c delete kit out there, and thats one less accessory leeching your horsepower. Remember, a decrease in rolling mass is an increase in horsepower.
