Hello, a few months back I purchased my GA. It came with an aftermarket alarm already installed. My only problem is that when I arm the alarm it goes off all on it own for no apparent reason. I have no idea what to do. I don't even know what kind of alarm it is. So I'll give you as much as I know just by looking at it.

When I look at the control box under the dash it has a white sticker on it that reads "A50689103 8"

The remote is this I believe.

The back of the remote reads from top to bottom

The circuitboard number on the remote is 777M-2

If anyone has any advice please don't be hesitant to let me know what I can do to fix this problem. It may be a shitty remote but I'd like to know how I could fix this without spending money on a new one.

Locate the motion sensor. Its probably set too senvitive. They are usually set by either turning a little screw or some are set by buttons. It there are screws.. try messin with them. If not, unplug your motion sensor and see if that fixes your problem.

Thanks for the reply!

Any idea where this would be located? I've never dealt with an alarm before. Any help would be great.

the guy could have mounted it any where, (does the box show one the outside wich wires do what) your probably going to have to trave all your wires. also it might be your shock sensor or your glass break sensor (if you have one).

try looking for a trunk and or hood pin, (these are sensors that tell the alarm in the trunk or hood is open) i had a problem on mine where the hoop pin wasnt set at the right hight and kept setting my alarm off

Alright, I'll check the hood and trunk pins tomorrow. I know where those are! I'll also take a look at the brain of it and see if it has a map on it. If not, I guess I'll try and follow some wire's. What would the motion sensor look like?

motion sensor might look something like this.
You can not have any metal around your motion sensor or it will jack wiht it. also if he put it where the AC gets it real cold you will have to wait like 10 min or so before you can even set the alarm. Cold air makes the field around the car bigger.
MOtion sensor is usually in the center of the car so I would guess if it has one it would be in the console area somewhere from the dash to the seat area.
