To make a long story short, cause trust me its long. Went friday to get my SC/T body kit installed. the shop couldnt get the passenger side to match up correctly and refused to do anymore work on my car. I refused to pay and threatened to make a small claims report due to the fact that they refused to finish what they said they could install. Bottom line I got 3/4 of my kit painted for free and installed for free. the only thing i had to do was attach the passenger side and fix the rear bumper piece. I know this will piss a lot of owners off, though I guess Im lucky. enjoy the pics of my new kit....

Body kits are such a pain in the a$$. That's why we offer no garuntee's & keep an "open" esimmate. They should have been more carefull on what they say they can do. We tell them how much it could run if it's a perfect fit & good quality materials BUT... We don't give them a final estimate untill they bring us the vehicle & the parts they want installed so we can see first hand what were up against. And we don't start the job untill all of the problems are agreeibly solved. So many times these kits are loaded with bubbles & pinholes & stretch marks & the list goes on... in the substraight & don't fit worth a darn to where we have to do alot of extra work for them to look top notch.
Seems as though the shop you went to needs to come up with a policy statement for customers with "custom parts" so they have thier arses covered.

wow, your car just keeps getting better... I like it a lot, keep up the good work.

so what exactly was wrong with the rear piece that you had to fix? I've heard that its really tight and that some people have epoxied it, did you have to?

looks sweet man. The sad thing is, that kit SHOULD be a bolt on! If its urethane it should be a almost perfect fit since most all urethane kits(like Wings West) are a graunteed bolt on and little or no body work.

The only thing that is easy bolt on in the sc/t kit is the chin spoiler.:( I had to pay a extra $350 to get my rear bumper valance piece on problem is the part is a quarter inch to short. They had to take my piece cut in half fiberglass the middle mold into my back bumper the stupid double sided tape won't hold shit.:D The rocker panels well thats another story of interest the double sided tape doesn't hold the panels to good on the heavy coupe so I had to get my sides bolted on you can still see a little gap but its not that bad. I still love my sc/t kit to death but all I can say is good luck installing one you will run into stupid problems:(
