I stated this question before but was sort of vague so i will ask again. I have 2 jl audio 12w3's. They are hooked up to a rf punch 501s. The rms for the subs is 250, the max is 500. The rating on the amp is 125x2 or 500x1 bridged. Now would i be better off with hooking one sub in bridged mode or just keeping the 125 watts going to both speakers? It sounds good now but im not sure what would be better. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes definatly bridge the amp.. but keep in mind you have to observe the ohm rating when both are wired.. and how the amp achieves 500 watts.. 4 ohm bridge or 2 ohm bridge also are those subs dual voice coil or single? let us know and we can tell ya if it will work

4 ohm bridged stable , my subs are 4 ohm, so it would be better to run one sub on 500 watts?

Are they dual voice coil (does each sub have 2 +'s and 2 -'s)????

That amp should be 2 ohm stable in 2 channel mods right?

ok...here...

125 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
250 watts RMS x 2 at 2 ohms
500 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms in bridged mode

If they are dual voice coil 4 ohm's...then you can wire each sub in parallel off of each channel (1 sub per channel). That would give each sub 250 watts. That should be plenty.

Run the amp in 2 channel mode....and wire each sub like the top picture here.. http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wiring.html?subs=1&impedance=DVC4x2

yes they are dual voice coil
