My amp keep cutting when it gets really hot out. I think it is cutting out because the amp is getting too hot in my trunk and it cuts out to keep my amp from breaking. I think if I move my amp to under my driverside seat it will help keep the amp cool and from cutting out all the time when it is hot. What do people think, does anyone else have any better ideas? Please give me any comments you can think of to help me out.
Thanks,
Zach

A cooling fan would work wonders. Even a cooling fan from a PC would work.
As for installation/procedure instructions....wrong guy here.

It shouldn't get that hot in your trunk unless you have it all boxed in or something. I have a 1 inch space only around mine and never over heated. And it is freaking hot here.
What kind of amp is it?

Chances are its the type that is either older, or not a high end brand. Never have I had my amp cutout for heat issues, only current draw. Cooling for amps is a huge issue and in many low end brands, is usually sacrificed to cut down on costs.

i would be its its a wiring issue the amp isnt designed for .. just because an amp says 2 ohm... make sure its 2 ohm stable.. i had that prob with my first amp.. a jbl amp.. overheated in about 10 min of use and kept cutting out and trust me.. it had plenty of space.. and i found out it wasnt 2 ohm stable... so from that day on i spent more money on amps and made sure it said 2 ohm stable

Also, as for moving it, putting it under the seats will do more harm than good. Remember for the winters as well, there are heaters under the seats which will overload it for sure.
