Just bought a 1999 Grand Am SE last week.....its LOADED and in excellent shape it just has one problem.........the washer fluid runs right through. So I take out the battery, and the platform for the battery.....and that fluid bottle is still buried. Cant seem to get to it from any direction!! Anyone else run into this problem?
While waiting for any responses I need to go look at the jackets and shirts!!!"It's not the pace of life that concerns me.......it's the sudden stop at the end!"

I might be wrong but I think you have to remove the front wheel and the fender lining and then you have acces to it. (But I don't know for sure)

Well I knew right away it was more than I wanted to get into today!! Anyway thanks......I think I will be driving without washer fluid until I get REAL ambitious! Why do they always have to make the simplest of repairs the TOUGHEST ones to access??!!

theres a good chance too that it is the little pump or the rubber o-ring on the pump that is leaking, should be an easy fix once ya get under there.

I've recently encountered the same thing...is removing the front wheel and inner fender cover the way to access it?

It was on my 95', and the resevoir is in the same spot as my 00', so I'm assuming it's the same exact procedure!

Dealership told me it was the pump that was cracked...I never bothered to mess with it. They wanted 200+ to fix it. I am hoping to move up to a 2001 soon so I am really not worried. Sure is a pain at times though....I have actually squirted water on the windshield from a bottle when i got desperate. It holds fluid for a couple days max.
