need exhaust help

i backed into something and it bent the right side pipe down and broke the piece that holds it up so now its hanging low. when my mom took it to get it fixed they said it would cost $572 because they would have to replace everything because some of the pipes were rusted. that seems high for them just to replace it to stock again so about how much do you all think it should cost to get it fixed with a new muffler and tips?

Sounds like they want to order a complete stock replacement system.

I'd have a new system fabricated instead. It will still cost a decent penny but, $500+ for a stock system is rediculous. I would immediately go to another shop since they obviously weren't bright enough to offer that suggestion (or can't handle fabrication of one).

On a 3100 V6 anything will sound fine. On a Quad 4, stick with a glass/steel-packed muffler (like Borla or Dynomax). Tips can be cut off and re-used btw.
