Hello, folks

I bought a 92 4 cylinder grand am today after a lengthy test drive. The car has 117k miles.. the only problem I can find with it is that it shakes a bit.. just a bit of vibration at lower speeds, above 60 or so it's unnoticeable.

Is this something I should be worried about? Also, the steering wheel feels a little loose, though it handles fine.. I imagine this is just a car by car difference type thing that I noticed.

The AC needs a charge.. is there like a charge kit that I could buy, or should I take it to the shop? What am i going to pay to have this fixed?

Also, there needs to be a new stereo.. there is none inside it at the moment.. anything I need to know before I go out and find a new one?

ALSO!! haha.. the fuse for the horn is missing, is it hard to replace that?

Thanks in advance!

ok well to answer your questions

the shaking sounds most like either a tire might be low on pressure do that first if still remains get your balanced... would assume that is the culpret

For steering just make sure your power steering fluid is topped up and visually look to make sure you see no leaks on the steering lines.

As for the AC i would also assume your AC has been converted if it hasnt that will cost a bit $ of to do and have it filled but if needs to be refilled ... means there is a chance its leaking somewhere anyways so either way if you want your AC gonna need to have a proper shop check it over and or convert it for ya

As for stereo its pretty simple.. just as any other car is.. if the orignal factory wiring is still in there go to your local audio shop and buy a factory connector that for when you install the stereo you just match up all the wires so makes it much easier..

And as for the fuse just read your owners manual for which one to check and its located ... if you open the driver door its on the small portion of the dash... pull fuse and replace... make sure you pull the right fuse and not an air bag fuse.. or it will deploy
Also i got the 94 GA so the fuses might be underneath the dash but i doubt it

If the car is a 92, and has the "Quad OHC" (8th VIN digit "3") do not purchase - this particular year/engine is a timebomb for cracked heads.

The DOHC's (Vin "A" or "D") are fine if cared for.
