My PCV elbow (rubber) cracked and gave me a check engine light.

I have been looking around locally and could not find the little piece I need. GM told me that the elbow is part of the whole vaccum kit and costs like 50 bucks (not needed).

Does anyone know a good online store or local place in Manitoba, Canada that would have such a simple piece?

Also, Will I have to go get my code cleared at a dealer now that the light came on?
I know for a fact that is the problem because I had air tight tapped the crack and ran it then I went to check on it a few days later and loosen the tape by mistake(did not re-tape) causing the check engine light to come on.

It won't go away now even after unhooking the battery.
Any ideas?

Thanks alot guys

i had that happen to me too - i got a replacement at a JY, and that's my suggestion. I wasn't able to find anything suitable for more than a temporary fix anywhere else.

Yeah,I tried to find the elbow as well and never did. So I ended up putting in the kit. As far as clearing the code, disconnect the battery for about 1/2 hr and it will go away. No need to go to the dealer. Of course you will have to reset your time and favorite staions on your sound system too.
