Ok I am new to this site, but I was wondering if you guys can help me. I am wanting to ad some serious power to my grand am se. you know a turbo or something, I was wondering what you guys thought, and how much something like this would cost. If you have any other ideas too let me know, but also how much it is too.

i dunno too much about serious engine mods, but your best bet is a supercharger.

Turbos give you power in the long run, superchargers give you conitnuous power.

A SC costs about $3500 - $4000.

Turbos are a little cheaper around $2000 - $3000 depending...

If you're lookin for something cheaper, i know a formula that would cost about $2000 and would add just as much power.

Headers - $500
Exhaust - $700
Chip - $310
Ram Air Hood - $600

Thats a good 40 - 50 hp or so....

A ram air hood is not going to add any horsepower. You are much better off getting a CAI for performance. There is not a ram air hood that 1) Comes functional and 2) would utilize the air needed for any extra horsepower. The air inlets are too far back on the hood and not high enough as well.

Headers on a 3.4 is dynoed for 18 hp
Exhaust is around 7-11 hp
Chip 10 hp
CAI 5hp

I am not positive on a 2.2 though.
