Contemplation and Sleeping Issues

Hey everyone-

Cory's been nagging at me again, and I decided that I'm probably going to go, I just need to convince my mother that you guys aren't crazy internet pedophiles seeking to kill me, and that I'm capable of driving 950 some miles (which I question, myself...).

Issue is, I need a room. I have no objection to sharing a room with anyone, but I need a room nonetheless, and I simply cannot afford to have a single by myself. Three others would be fine by me, and if not, a cot or whatnot will have to suffice, as I'm late.

I just need to get an idea of how much I need to spend altogether, as room depends on how many are in there.

Lemme know guys. And help me think of things to say to help my mom be easier with this.

That's conforting, but try telling your concerned mother that the best you might have is "I'm sure there'll be room" lol.

If anyone has room, let me know. Not sure how payment works out for Albany, but I won't cheat anyone. I'm very little hassle!

Shoot I called Rick's mom to convince her to let him stay here and that we weren't going to allow her 16 yearold son to be corrupted by all the sinners in Albany. lol

It's still a long, long drive.

lol, that was fun... 3 weeks after I got my license, I raced the car at the dragstrip, and was telling everyone to not go over 55mph lol

Mike,

Just show your mom the history of the meet. Show her that there have been 3 that have gone on without incident. No one has been arrested (yet :D) there's no one fighting. and we all get along very very well. It's like going to a huge family reunion in my opinion.

As for cash. It's very close to the same distance for myself. I don't know exactly how your car is on gas, but I've done the trip both years that I've gone for under 300 bucks. I'm not a huge spender, but I was able to make it work.

Just don't show her the threads about buying beer without an ID or the thread where the older guys said they'd send the kids to get beer and better have change. Also block out any thread that says "locker room" ;)

If you're going by yourself then just plan to pay for a room and hope that a roomate deal might work out. Otherwise, drag a friend along perhaps. It would help keep you from going numb on the long drive.

That's the problem. None of my friends like cars.

I have a room with two queen beds in it. My friend was supposed to be coming with me but he has just backed out (the 12 hour drive was too long for him). The room is already paid for and I dont need a roomate but if someone really needs a room i wouldnt let them sleep in their car. I wont comit to anyone though till Ive met them. You know all those creepy internet pervs.....lol j/k. Im sure there are other people who will have room in their rooms as well so i dont think you have to worry about where you sleep. Just worry about gettin to the meet and you will be fine!
