OK, I've pieced this info together from searching this site, as well as other forums and manufacturer sites, so here goes ...

I have an '04 GAGT with the Monsoon sound system. I recently purchased a new head unit: Pioneer DEH-P7700MP. I have a GMRC-01 chime module that I picked up cheap, but I would really prefer not to use it (the chimes are annoying).

I have the Monsoon pinouts listed below:

Pin - Color - Description
E1 - Light Green - RF Spkr +
E2 - Tan - LF Spkr +
E3 - Grey - LF Spkr -
E4 - Light Blue - RR Spkr -
E5 - Dark Blue - RR Spkr +
E6 - Brown - LR Spkr +
E7 - Yellow - LR Spkr -
E8 - Black - Ground
E9 - Black - Ground
E10 - Dark Green - Antenna Relay Coil
E11 - Orange - Battery +
E12 - Orange - Battery +
E13 - Black - LF Tw Spkr +
E14 - Yellow - LF Tw Spkr -
E15 - Dark Blue - LF Mid Spkr +
E16 - Light Blue - LF Mid Spkr -
F1 - Dark Green - RF Spkr -
F2 - Light Green - RF Tw Spkr +
F3 - Purple - RF Tw Spkr -
F4 - Purple - LR Tw Spkr -
F5 - Red - LR Tw Spkr +
F6 - Dark Green - RF Mid Spkr -
F7 - Orange - RF Mid Spkr +
F8 - Purple - Gain Control
F9 - - - Not Used
F10 - Yellow - RR Tw Spkr -
F11 - White - RR Tw Spkr +
F12 - - - Not Used
F13 - Light Blue/Black - R Sub Spkr -
F14 - Dark Green - R Sub Spkr +
F15 - Dark Blue/White - L Sub Spkr +
F16 - Light Green/Black - L Sub Spkr -

I also managed to obtain the wire listing for the headunit harness:

Color - Description
Yellow - 12 V Constant
Red - 12 V Switched
Black - Ground
Dark Blue - Power Antenna
Dark Blue/White - Amplifier Turn-On
Grey - RF Spkr +
Grey/Black - RF Spkr -
White - LF Spkr +
White/Black - LF Spkr -
Purple - RR Spkr +
Purple/Black - RR Spkr -
Green - LR Spkr +
Green/Black - LR Spkr -

Note:
LF = left Front, LR = Left Rear, RF = Right Front, RR = Right Rear
Spkr = Speaker, Tw = Tweeter, Mid = Midrange

I believe the wires should be matched up in the following way:

Pioneer - Monsoon
Yellow - Orange (E11)
Black - Black (E8)
Dark Blue - Not Used
Dark Blue/White - Dark Green (E10)
Grey - Light Green (E1)
Grey/Black - Dark Green (F1)
White - Tan (E2)
White/Black - Grey (E3)
Purple - Dark Blue (E5)
Purple/Black - Light Blue (E4)
Green - Brown (E6)
Green/Black - Yellow (E7)

Also, the red wire from the head unit needs to be spliced into the ignition wire. And I have the correct antenna adapter as well.

Is this the correct way to wire the new headunit? It seems like there should be more ...

I would recomend just getting the correct wiring harness for the monsoon system, it may be a bit pricey, but saves you the hassle of cutting the factory harness up, also allowing easy replacement back to factory if you decide to sell the car
