... it may or may not have folding rear seats but if it does, there will be 'little pull tabs' in the trunk just under the rear speaker deck which will allow you to release the latch and then you can push them ahead :)

Folding the seat is optional. You can either fold the seat or do it in the trunk.
It used to be that if your seats didn't fold then you had a thin metal backing behind them, if not from the trunk all you see is seatback.

... well, if the rear seat don't fold down (folding rear seats was an option so not all Grand Ams have it), you will simply have to remove the lower two bolts (one on each side, I think) on the seat back (you will probably have to remove the bottom seat in order to see them) followed by unhooking it from the top ... then, you should be able to remove the seat back and "do what you got to do :)

Yea...all the websites say that i have split-folding rear seats....and i see the split....but there is no clips or tabs in the trunk underneath the deck that i can see to pull down and release a latch...i can put my hand through the split and into the trunk...but that doesnt really help me...and i can squeeze my hand up and feel those 6 plastic screws...but i cant undo them without gettin that darn seat back down somehow.

... if the split is there then you obviously have the folding seats ... only thing I can suggest is to crawl in the trunk and search for the tabs as they have to be there ... they will be towards the driver side slightly on the underside next to the speakers ... maybe they are tucked up in and you'll have to bring them out where you can rech them

but as for the system....i had everything except for the components, the newer head unit, and the 4 channel amp hooked up in a 93 cavalier and it beat up hard....but i didnt get the clarity for the highs that i wanted.....since i just got this car...i decided to put the same stuff in it except for to add in components, amp them, and get a pretty good new cd player....do you guys think i will see a worthwhile improvement

Don't worry about it man, those tabs are a pain in the ass! I'll pull one, hard even, go around and try to pull the seat down.. nothing! go back.. pull it again.. ect.
