I'm thinking about getting these Accel (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=2989&prmenbr=361) coil packs.

I've done a search and haven't found much info on them...do these bolt right on...or do I have to do some modification to make them work? Also, anyone that has them, is there any performance gain?

I'm thinking not alone, but with other mods they can't hurt.

thanks guys and gals! :)

I'm thinking of P&P manifolds and adding the Casper AFPR, so with increased air and fuel, a better spark would help it burn better...right? Or is a spark a spark?

Any more thoughts on this???
I’ll have time to work on it this weekend, so any input ASAP would be helpful.

Thanks :)

The stock ignition isn't too bad for street use , so unless you have major mods and you need to spin the engine at very high RPMs you don't really need better coils . While they won't hurt any , you won't notice any gains unless the ones you have now aren't adaquate . Those are listed for up to 98 and you have a 2001 are you sure they will even work on your vehicle ?

I thought I read somewhere (here or otherwise) that this was the model that was used in 99+ GA's. I know people on here have replace the coils...
