Very, Extrememly Pissed!

yeah as the title says I'm fairly pissed. Want to know why? Well your gonna find out

Well....today at work I find out that there's no way for me to have Thursday off to head up to the meet! (a day I specifically requested off at least a month ago)

Reason being: another installer who was on vacation last week came back last friday, worked saturday and sunday, and somehow managed to get off this week to go on another vacation (non paied) to Verginia beach. Of course he gets it off no problem even with this weeks schedual already made and "finalized", but I can't get 1 day off that I requested at least 1 month in advance! ****!!!Oh to add insult to injury, tomorrow I get to cover for him and get to work open till close 9am-9pm alone, no other installers on. Nice treatment for the joints vertrain installer....the others have only been there about a year each, where I've been there for 3 years!

The only "saving" grace is that I need the few extra bucks to put towards replacing one of the O2 sensors in my Si and having the new exhaust installed on it as well, but I'd still rather take the day to take a drive up to Albany to get to chill with some of the peeps I met at Carlisle, and a bunch of new faces.

Yeah, you all reading this can't even imagine how nice my vision of going out on my own and opening my shop is looking right now. Its the whole finance thing thats holding me back....

Maybe if I manage to get one of the other days off I'll make the trip, but I'm not holding my breath.

Sorry guys and girls hope I'm not letting too many of you down...I was all pumped about it too, even got my route all planned out this mornign before I went into work to only find out of this lovely news:-(

That really sucks bro. I was looking foward to seeing the car again. I liked it at GM nats. I would just call your boss and be like i had the time off a long time ago and it was approved and I made plans and paid for things that I cant get back. And just not show up.

If it makes you feel any better the shirts I ordered FOR the meet arent coming till well after the show. Stupid me didnt pay the extra coin to get it here fast.

how about just not show up... or call in sick and tell em sorry... if u need a dr's note im sure someone works in a dr's office that can get a memo, then just scribble on it and ure good to go

Yeah I wish it was that easy. Plus the whole problem I have with my consience would get to me about an hour into the ride up..and I bet when I show up the next day with a sunburn (even SPF 10,000 won't save me lol) what do I say then? lol

being the head installer (aka 3rd in command)dosen't help much either, even though I'm "just another installer" to the company.

The one car I was looking forward to seeing the most. Not that there aren't other nice rides but your is def the most unique ones I have yet to see in person. :(

ooo I don't know guys... my nose is running, my eyes are glossy, I can't seem to keep any solid foods in place......

that sounds alot like what happens at my work too, request a day off or a vacation, and turns around and schedules you for those days....heres the story....i work at a wal-mart in Council Bluffs, and my and my girlfriend filled out our time adjustments. and my service manager and the head manager both signed the time adjustment. And My girlfriend worked like Sat-Mon and had tues through the next friday off. ok thats works. As for me He had me scheduled up until the day we left, and the day we came back but i was on the plane when my shift supposedly started HEHE. And so i went to our store manager about this and got one day off before we left and got 2 days off after i came back, he really pissed me off.

And get this, my last day off before going back to work, he had the nerve to call me up and says " We really need ya here becuase were really backed up" and im like, " Well let me find out whats going on with my title to my gagt and i'll call ya back" he says " all right let me know as soon as possible" and i never did call him back or anything, hes a complete *******...
