I listed these in the For Sale section last week and it seemed as if there was some interest. If we can get a list of 5 people for a group buy then I will get some more material to make them.

Also, if you don't think the silver color would go with your color theme, you could easily paint these... or else debadge your GT's from the sides and use double-sided tape to mount them on the inserts.

Asking $15US for each set shipped to your door.

sorry about taking so long... I've been really busy this week, yesterday was the last day of my summer internship and I am moving up to school Friday.

Anyway, I just cut everything out and will run to the post office sometime in the early afternoon to have them shipped. Again, sorry about the wait.

Pretty sure it's painted

JoeyK

Yep, it's painted. I sanded all of it most of the way smooth then sprayed it with high build primer (& wetsanded the primer, finishing it off with 800 grit paper) & then painted it. Problem is I got lazy & eager all at the same time one day & used spray cans for the color & clear. Now I wish I had just driven accross town to the shop & did it the right way, it's scratched up a bit here & there. I have redone the rear speaker grills with PPG base/clear. now I just need to find the time to pull the rest of it out & respray it with the good stuff also. The rear grills look phenominal compared to the spray can paint. not that spray can paint looks bad but the real deal looks so much better ya know?:)

Here's a thought though. Something I'm toying with trying; ever hear of Monokote? It's a shrink wrap vinyl that's heat activated & comes in a variety of colors. It's widely used in the RC airplane hobby. You wouldn't believe some of the things some people can do with that stuff. I have a friend at work that has quite a few RC planes & I know he's pretty experienced with the stuff. I assume you can heat it & remove it which would make it ideal for interioir parts incase you ever want to go back to stock or just change your color scheme. I'm gonna ask him about it when I catch him when we're both not busy & get the low down on the stuff.

Here's a link; http://www.monokote.com/

thanks again for the compliments guys.

I'm not planning on selling anymore of these things, I just wanted to use up the extra material I had and make back some money for the materials and my time... I'm glad you guys like these and that I could help you out.

Yea, I admittedly stole my interior scheme from JoeyK as well, although mine is 100% spray bomb. I didn't sand mine down either, I wanted to keep the stock surface (and I was too lazy to sand everything). In the meantime, I've found that a silver sharpie works well to make the chips in my paint unnoticable :D (as Joey is probably about to puke at that statement...)

And yea, post some pics of that vinyl if you ever do it.

Shhhhhhhh, don't share our shamefull little sharpie secret!;)

BTW, that was some great thinking there; using up the extra material to regain your costs. Are you going for a business degree!?!

Business < Engineering

People can go from engineering to business, but not the other way around! I like to keep my options open... :D
