Ride back was pretty uneventful for me. Was back home shortly after noon (after lunch and a few errands in town). I had so much fun this year, you guys a a blast!

We had lunch in Albany with my sister-in-law who came up from Conn. on Saturday. Headed west into the storms and was home by early evening.

It was great being able to put some faces with the avatars. I'll be back again for sure.

Thanks to all for the great event. I've organized events like this and know that my good times were due to someone elses hard work. Thanks again.

Wasn't too bad. Had a little coolant issue but not major problems. Traffic was good and weather was hot as usual. Arrived just fine. :)

Well me and cadillac boy made it back to his place. Of course though as we leave the dennys parking lot he floors it and hits a curb that he didnt see ( i knew it was there but figured he did too.... until he punches it and blows up the drivers side front tire)

So yeah besides that little incident we made it back in one peice.

Was a good time. glad i was there. ;)

I made it home fine, but as i got off the highway i had to witness something VERY unfortunate.

I was driving up the hill and a motorcycle BLEW by me on my left side( now im right up against the yellow line, and when the bike passed me, there was a car right next to me going the other way). Anyways, that scared the shit out of me. I then looked in my rearview mirror and saw a state cop flying up behind me with his lights on chasing after the bike. I got out of the way and sped up a little to see if i can see the cop pull that ass hole over, but as i got on top of the hill to the intersection (which was about 100 yards away) all i saw was a cloud of dust. When i got to the top, i didnt see the bike anywhere, but there were a few cars mangled on the side of the road and the cop car was smashed in the front. I noticed the cop car was slowly rolling across the intersection and when i saw the car roll into a pole, i realized then that he was either unconcious or dead. There were people crying and running, it was crazy. I was real shaken up for the rest of the day and i couldnt really sleep. I havent heard any more about it, but i really hope no one was killed.

Everything up until that part went great though.

Well....."Cornboy" made it safe and sound to my house. Only 12 more hours to go to Iowa. Could be a little longer after a few sixpacks! :toast:

Tom dont let Paula see that you are giving a YOUNGIN beer. Poor Cornbread couldnt drink the last night because Paula found out he wasnt old enough. It was great.

I have good news and bad news about my trip back. I started out with the rain, then TRAFFIC, then at the first Mass toll some retard in a benz wanted to get to the east bound side using the median. And I am very sad to say that the Pom Pom that was on the back of my car didnt make it. I got off at a rest stop just after the 84 interchange and only found ONE streamer and all the tape.

Tom, did u get my msg?? Cory was all nervous u were gonna be pissed cuz he wasn't arriving at ur place til later than expected -- we were holding him captive a few hrs longer. =]

I made it back to NJ in under 3 hrs.. witnessed an accident myself.. almost was me.. rollin outta a green light, SMASH! the car behind me did like a 540 in the air n up onto the curb -- 1st I thought he spun out/skidded on the wet road, then I realized he was hit [for whatever reason], so I called 911.. if I had been 10 secs later, the car woulda hit me.

I got back to DE by 11:45.

Wow Mel, you are lucky!

Yeah, we made it home ok... except for driving over the curb at Dennys and blowing out my front tire... so I pulled on the side... everyone just left me there :( :)

Since it was a front tire, I had to put the tiny donut thing on the back, then the back tire on the front so I didn't kill the transaxel... I made it home fine tho, dropped the '93 DeVille off at my fathers and am driving the '79 DeVille right now....

definitly the best meet by far.... man.... it was sweet... I had a blast!

yeah pretty dull trip for me too... the only MINOR highlight is this bimmer that was tailin me (im assumin cause i was going bout 80) and some crazy bitch in a 4 door tan civic (newest gen) that wouldnt let me get by. So i finally see a quick break (we were in the left "passing lane") and i drop ta 3rd go to the right and blow by w/ the bimmer right behind me... up over a lil hill BAM statie sittin there... for whatever reason i didnt react though, i just kept on going 80ish and he never even moved outta his spot... then some rain... made it in under 3 hours again which is really, really good time for me

I got here 'round 1600 yesterday. The only thing worth mentioning were the dumbass American customs morons who were inspecting vehicles leaving the country, just before getting to the Canadian customs.

People need a hobby...

Next year he has a 9:00 curfew there.....and I'll be around to enforce it!!!

Cornboy is now back home in Cornland.

Uneventful trip other than traffic in Chicago and the pounding thunderstorm the entire time through Chicago, but I am home, 3 brakes and all.

We're back too ... made it home at 1:30 last night ... uneventful other than we thought Paula lost her keys in Kittery so we had to backtrack through 4 stores to only find them under the seat later on in the day  ... glad everyone made it home, it was AWESOME to see you all :)

Just made it back at 9:30 last night. Yes, it took me a week to get back home. Just back to work this morning. Blah.

Anyways, I had a 16 hour drive that was completely uneventful. Drove back to Augusta with Jason and Beth, then to Bridgewater, Nova Scota all by my lonesome. On auto-pilot once I hit the Canadian border. Border crossing was fast, 3 questions and I was back on the highway.

Anyways, It's great to be home. Really, really great.
