I've been searching this site to find out how to do angel eyes. i couldn't find nothing. luckly i remembered that i put a link in my favorites list. but the instructions i have is for a honda which i don't have. i wanna know how to open up fog lights to insert the rod. here's the website i have- http://www.geocities.com/jvxdriver/eagle_eyes.htm. Could someone look at these intructions and tell me if they are any good. i just want to do it and get it over with. seems to me angel eyes is like normal everyday stuff for yall. not where i live. i think i would be the first person in my hood to have this it i can get it right. and the flip flop trunk thing. no one round here don't have that. i want it cause no one else has it. if someone has some better instructions could they give them to me. and yeah, i read in another thread where someone says u shouldn't get one unless u have something to show, i will have something to show. it just takes time. everyone is not a carpenter and fabricator. when i do get the flip flop done. i will have a carpet box. its not about how the box looks on the outside, its all about whats inside. people won't be lookin at the contents of the trunk, there gonna be awwed by the trunk itself. and how can they get the same. i am gettin all of subject. but help

There are a couple of angel eye sets you can buy.

Hella makes the popular one that has white LEDs'. The LED's don't last long and many peple replace them with a new color. Hellas are $60 in stores and $50ish on ebay.

There another type that you can change colors with a switch.

There was one guy who drilled the stock fog housing and put a ring of LED's around the outside.

I don't know of anyone who has taken the stock housing apart. If I was going to make my own, I'd glue the "eye" on the lens.

Here's a "How To" site

sorry, but I hate people who do things solely for the fact that no one else in their area has. if that is one reason to do it, fine. the other reason better be because it looks good and would make your car look better.

one thing I don't get, you say you're going to have something to show in your trunk... then go on to saying it doesn't matter what it looks like?

I think both mods you are planning on doing would make you car stand out, if you take your time and do them right.

do what tenspeed said, glue them to the outside of your fogs with something that can be removed if needed.

uh yeah dave. i am doing it for both reasons. i didn't say i was was doing it to make my car look better cause i thought that was already assumed. why would i do something to my car that i don't like? why am i am i wasting my time and energy on something to make someone else like my car. i ain't even like that.

And was talking about the sound that comes from the speakers.
cause when i do the flip flop, for the about 2 months i am gonna have the same ol' carpet box. If u could get better than a carpet box, you would get it right.

anyway, thanks tenspeed and dave

that how to is very good. I love that idea, doing it 3/4ths instead of all the wya around... I think its time for me to go do this to my foglights... Very interesting.

You might want to re-read that How-To before you do it...it says to dremal only one of the six sides!!! doing 3/4ths would just ruin your day. :)

Read the "hint" portion.

Thanks, but I know... I read it twice... He says put little cuts into it but instead of making cuts all the way around the outside of the "halo" only go 3/4ths around the circle to create an "eagle eye" instead of angel eyes...
Come on now... And if i understand your train of thought correctly, you thought I said go 3/4ths around the little tube, circumference-wise, not length-wise... That would not look as good, but would not ruin your day either, it would just make your angel eye dimmer...

I am pretty sure i understand perfectly, I should get a hexagonal window blind thing, wrap it around a circular object, cut tiny slits into on face of the hexagonal blind rod, go only 3/4ths around the halo, instead of all the way around, then put 2 leds in the ends of the rod, then tape up that end so you cant see the leds.

I'll have pics when I finish this weekend.

OH...gotcha. ;)

I was thinking about doing this too (when I get a chance), but I think I'm going all the way around instead of the 3/4th.
