well i am the proud owner of a pair of Alpine Type X 5 1/4s. To make a long story short i got them from American TV for $175 they are open box but never installed all the pieces are there. the price on the box said $250 ;) now i gotta figure out how to put them in the dash of the lumina where my 4x6s are, and make the gf happy at the same time. lol

Awesome find, man! I've never actually heard them in person, but from the reviews I've read on the net about any kind of Type X speaker from Alpine, you're going to be very happy!

holy s*** is all i have to say about these speakers... well anyway they are in and hopefully soon i can get some pix. but heres wut i did i flush mounted the mids in the door with a suprising amount of room left over and mounted the tweets on the dash. and if ne 1 knows luminas they will know that the 4x6s are in the dash so i mounted the crossovers there now all i have to do is make it look a little better.
