What Tint % do you think would look good on my 99 GT?

I roll with 5%. It takes a little while to get used to driving it (especially at night), but I like the fact that no-one can see into my car. I had my car broken into, got the windows tinted afterward to hide the stereo.

The most common for everyday drivers is 20%. It's just dark enough to make it look good, but not so dark you loose function of the windows.

It also depends on the laws for your state. Here in Colorado the law is 12% (yes I know mines illegal, I'll deal with it later). I believe most states allow from 12% to 20%. But the law only applies to the front windows assuming you have both side mirrors- Windshield (can't be touched any lower that 8" from the top, I think), front drivers window, and front passenger window.

I just recently got mine tinted and I did 20% on the back three windows and 35% on the front two...it's a two door.

Here in MI it's illegal to have any tinting on the front side windows, but it's not really enforced if it's not too dark.

Since its fairly common for most people to do 35% up front and 20 % in rear here is a link to some pics of my car (which i just tinted myself) and at least you will get the idea.... but since in the pic your not looking directly at the window i think it makes it look a bit darker..

I paid 165 for 35% platinum mirror tint. It's still functional and looks awesome.

5% on all windows except windshield. windshield was done at 30% (whole thing) driving is kind of hard, especially when it is raining... but its well worth it...

That's what I got :D I think it looks good.. I don't like having the back done and nothing on the front.. And since IL is kinda strict on their tint stuff.. I'd rather have lighter tint in front than nothing at all... Here's a pic of my neon.. Without front tint.. It looks crappy...

I think it looks better to have something on ALL the windows.. Rather than none at all :)

nothing really, its 70% which is stock on the fronts and the backs i dont know off hand but its not much either.

also, the legislature is trying to pass a law that NOOOO tint will be allowed on cars after the factory which means GA= sol

if your car is a 4 door, dont pay more than $240. ziebarts is $240 and the guy who does it at a location near me (m-59 and van dyke) is really good. ive gotten some great tips from him.

2 door, no more than $185-$200.

heres how i do my pricing.

cars:
4door: 25/side window. $10/quarter $30/rear
2 door 30/side window. $15/quarter (pending on quarter) and $30-$40 for the rear

trucks are similar to two door cars. depends on more though (1 piece back window, or three piece slider)

i use llumar rated tint too. btw, labor is what you pay. if they guy is using solar guard tint or llumars your lookin at spending $30-$35 on material. typically i spend around $25-$30 for each car.

i paid 280. *lifetime warrenty* receipt for the non-legal stuff plus the entire windshield was the killer. would of been 190 had i not done that the whole way.

I have a 2door Grand am and I just got it tinted today. I got 20% on the front two and 5% on the back windows. In CT the law is no more that 35%. I'm worried they are going to pull me over, has anyone else had any problems?? It is kinda hard to see out the back window too, I was thinking about going back and having all the windows done at 20 %.....Any ideas??

I already brought my car back and the guy but 20 on the back window for FREE!!! He also took off the 5 % for me!! I think I might bring my car to this small show in my town next week, think it is ready?? Obviously a work in progress, but its looking better. I just got my spoiler put on today too.
