I could find out. I work at a dealership as a technician and we get a lot of GA's for oil and lube checks and I can get a measurement.Unless some knows already cuz I sure as hell would like to know, the 99+ have nice seats.

I think the 99+ seats are uncomfortable, as I drive an 00 GT :(.

heck yea, i could get some seats from a 99+ very easily, i just havent because i dont wnat them to not fit and not be able to return them. i really like how the seat belts go into the seats of the 99+. id really love some 01-03 GT seats, though.

They mount completely differently. The 99+ seats have hooks that go into the floor. The -98 bolt down level on 4 bolts. IT would take a lot of work.

well thats why you would have to get the seat bracket thats on the bottom, can't use the 96-98 mounting bracket, plus the slider as well, have to use the whole unit.

The bracket has hooks that go into the floor of the car. I did not see them in a car but I am assuming that the floor has some sort of cuts in it that our year doesn't. The seats do also bolt down on the back. I was looking into buying some and the mount is completely different. The seat would not mount to our bracket either because the holes are different. I am not saying they won't fit, they wll physically fit in, but it would take work.

I've seen it done before... but it's not a direct fit. IIRC the person used the 92-98 slider/bracket and modifed it.

mounting is something that can be made to work,Im more interested in whether or not the seats are too wide or not. Some font seats are wider then others and can get in the way when the door closes and what not.

They do physically fit. They are not too wide or tall.

:agree:
I drove a 00SE (loaner car while my car was being painted) - totally stripped down to the manual window roller downer thing. That was so confy, you sat in it and it ate you up... :)

This just popped into my mind but I guess it would make a big difference. The color of the seats. I mean there all like a greyish color but I know its not exactly the same color. Now the rear seats from a 99+ would not fit without much moddification. Also the 96-98 models have 2 color greys, one is really dark and on is pretty light. So thats somthing to think about if your gonna change the front seats. I mean you could always get the car reapolstered(sp?) but thats alot of money just to change the seats. Once again its just somthing to thing about.

I would love a new set of seats...Mine seem to be worn in too much. Almost to the point of being uncomfortable. :(

You can make ANYTHING fit with enough work. Really, the easiest way to do it would be to find out what you need to weld onto your car floor to make the 99+ seats attach.
However, even though hiring this done wouldn't be horridly expensive, probably would be a lot more expensive than you want considering the appeal was being able to ebay seats.

Yeah, as long as they're not too wide/ too high, etc.. I would assume that with enough welding and whatnot they could be made to fit and stay put.
