Can I add keyless entry?

My 99 GAGT doesnt have keyless entry as an option in the RPO codes, but i'd like to add it. Is it easy and/or cheap to add a factory keyless entry system to it? Thanks!

get an aftermarket alarm kit. will do the trick plus add security to the car.... id imagine adding a factory thing would be tricky.... *me thinks*

you can get a half decent alarm combo on ebay for like 50-80 with keyless entry. If you are any good at wiring, like.. if you can install a sterio and any other 12V accessory then it really isnt that hard to install. Hell I paid like $25.00 for my alarm and it has keyless entry and remote start. And it all works. I've had it installed for over a year with no problems.

I was looking for replacement keyless entry remotes not too long ago and I found a site that had them for $29.99 for my 00 Grand AM and 01 Montana.

I had them delivered in less than a week and the programming instructions only took maybe 10 seconds?

You can get a remote starter with keyless entry, but without alarm. My shop here in town wanted around $220 for parts and labor. Not bad at all. I am sure the price is similar around your area.

Are those remotes refurbished/used, or are they new genuine G.M. replacements ?

if you're referring to my post, they were brand new GM remotes, exactly the same as my originals.

if you have power locks , you can get keyless entry. I priced it through the dealer like a year ago, and it was 99 bucks not installed. Again, that was through the dealer. You Can get KE for none power lock vehicles aswell, just alittle more work to it.
