Buy them or Clear them

Hey guys, its been awhile since I posted on here, but oh well. I was looking on rksport.com and I found some really cool retro-style taillights with a black background. But they are almost $300. So I think Im going to clear them myself. I dug up old posts but they were for older gt's. Is clearing the tails as simple as taking a screwdriver to the red glass in the tail light? Could someone please tell me how to do this or direct me to a post that will help? By the way is this a risky mod, should I just buy them?

I have tried couple of aftarmarket tails for 99+ GA and hated all of them. I don't think they go together at all. I say clear the stock GT tailights, or tint them, or just leave it.

Personally, I'd say just tint what ya got. I don't know why everyone want to change the stock lights, well, ok, I don't like the se's as well but I think the GT tail lights are great looking the way they are.

I don't care for the fully cleared stock ones, however the ones we have are stock GTs with just the turn signals clear and amber bulbs installed.

Different without having to be tacky, trendy or tasteless.

(not saying they all are, I personally like the ones with black housings, but most I see are)

I say stay stock:D Everyone is going euro or what not,be different and stay stock. Im keeping my tails stock,actually am starting to like the way they look.

You just use regular 3156 or 3157 amber?

I like my stock tail lights... I think they look just as good as most aftermarket ones. If I did anything, it would probably be to get some of that tint overlay stuff they're making for us now.
