Which radar detector to get?

I was lookin on ebay for a radar detector and realized there's a whole bunch of em. I started reading reviews, and i couldn't pick one over the other. So i figured i'd ask the GAOC! What radar detector should i get? I'm lookin for something under $100 bux, I drive in town quite a bit. And all my highway driving is on loooooooong straight roads (hey, i'm in North Dakota). I was thinkin bout a Whistler 1765 but who knows. All comments are appreciated!!!

I have a cobra and it seems to be pretty reliable. It has helped me out several times from local smokies who seem to love to pull teens over.

yeah..anything under 100 isn't really worth it, it may seem like it help your but really the cop has already taged you before your radar dector went off. radar dectors i think you need to go all out on or just do without

I have a $90 Whistler that's saved my ass at least 10 times now... Just because it wasn't the highest end model doesn't mean it sucks.

I definitely disagree with the cheaper models being crap

I have a Uniden 910something (can't recall the model number)

I bought it new 2 years ago and paid 230 canadian for it, so its now technically older technology and has saved my butt a good 15+ times now, still gives adequate time to slow down once it goes off and im sure you could find something a couple years models back and be just fine with it.

The Escort and the Beltronics are pratically the same detectors.

YES ESCORT all the way. They are one of the best that I have had. Never got a ticket with it :)
