Other than eBay, where can I purchase a front driver's side hub assembly for a 2003 GA GT? One of the posts on mine broke because three of the five lugs keep working themselves loose and the vibration caused one to break. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

... I would either buy a new one from the dealer or from an aftermarket parts store ... being the importance of the bearing/hub, I wouldn't mess around with used :(

Agreed. I am going to see about ordering one through my work from CarQuest. Any idea of 99-02 is the same as 03-05?

AFAIK, they are all the same :)

Not positive on the year span... IIRC, the hub is the same, but I'd be concerned about differences in the wheel speed sensor. A shop should be able to tell you if they all use the same part #. :)

I was able to order one through my work and paid 45% below cost for it. Any tips on installing it?

If i am correct on this, you must remove the brake caliper, rotor, and once that is done you would have to unplug the abs sensor, there should be to wires with a plug on the end of it. Once you did all this you will need to remove the cotter key, then the spindle nut. There should be atleast three bolts on the back side of the hub/bearing assembly on the car. You can see them when you turn the wheel to the right or left depending on what side you are replacing. Remove those and the hub assembly should come loose and you can push the cv shaft out from the hub assembly. It's really not a hard job to do, just make sure you watch how you took everything apart so you can reinstall it to its proper place.
If you are unsure just pick up a book on the car and if i get a chance i will look in my books at work tomorrow. Btw you will need to retorque the spindle nut too and just make sure you tighten all the other bolts nice and tight but becareful not to snap them off.
hope this helps you out some

Yeah, I have a Haynes manual, and it pretty much says what you did. Now I don't mean to sound stupid, but what does a torque wrench look like? I know I don't have one but I do need to get one. I think I know but am not completely sure and everything. All I know is that it sucks that I am having to do this in the first place! :)

... most torque wrenches look like a "power bar" but have an adjusting handle allowing for different values of torque ... then, when the wrnech "clickes" when turning, you reached the torque limit you set :) ... always a good tool to have been most things (especially wheel components) should be torqued :)

There are several dfferent types. I got these pics from http://images.google.com
The most common type is the torque-limiting wrench, which is what I use. You preset the tourque specified, and the wrench will 'click' when it is tightened properly.

Onother common type will simply show how much torque is being applied. It is up to you to watch it closely to make sure you tighten properly.

Don't forget the locktight. No more than it costs, it insures your nuts and bolts don't loosen down the road.
Made by Permatex, I would use (Red #247).

I am not sure if the Post 99 GA's require it or not but on the Pre 99 GA's you also needed a new hub bearing seal and the seal driver to install it. You might want to look into that before you tear it apart.
