Got around to getting my car dyno'd today.
147 hp and 165 lbs of torque @ the wheels.
There was something screwy with the tach on the dyno though so the graphs were screwed up. Some of the numbers might be a bit off too b/c of that as well the guy said.
Input?

You have the intake, exhaust, and mounts on that car?
That seems a little low to me.

.. maybe low by a COUPLE horsepower but most stock V6 are 143/145 stock if I recall correctly so 147 isn't too bad without too many modifications ... could be low simply due to the problem he mentioned or maybe it was hot and humid :)

IIRC the RPM will only affect the torque calculations... not positive tho. (too lazy to look up the formula again) Did the tach signal drop out mid-run? Or was a little off the entire time?
We had a hell of a time getting a signal at all on mine... direct ignition under the cover + inductive probe = not dyno friendly. (tach signal @ PCM is too weak too... had to cut back the looming over the IDI harness and try 1 wire at a time, and he had to make corrections on the dyno PC)
Overall that's not bad when you consider drivetrain loss, etc.

Ya it was a little off the whole time, ya its not bad, IIRC Neoblue99 got 155 hp and 171 lbs torque with a CAI, 2.5 inch catback, high flow cat so i think im average. I was lookin over the list of numbers it spit out though and the torque might be 169 lbs.
See heres a pic of what it spit out...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v359/Flarebrass/HPIM0293.jpg

I hate barge into this thread, but is my engine special? On a Dynojet, I put down 125 to the wheels and the engine was (is) stock. Crank HP is 140, so thats 15 Hp loss. Or is it because I have a manual tranny?

becuase its a manual. its would probly be 20/25 with the auto

Auto loose a ton through the torque converter, but with the manual you have a direct drive with the clutch. Of course there are losses, but it's friction and rotational mass that you can't get rid off.

Yea, sticks are usually around a 15% loss while an auto makes about 20%. It also depends on waht the manufacturer rates them. Hell look at a bloody srt-4. They are only supposed to be 220 hp but ive seen many stock run the dynos at 230, so they are UNDERRATED even on the crank hp compared to wheels. Go figure.
